The Straw Hats Pirates are reunited. Knights of the Zodiac star Mackenyu shared a new photo featuring the rest of the cast of Netflix's live-action One Piece series.
Mackenyu Shares Awesome Group Selfie With Netflix's One Piece Cast
Mackenyu posted the new photo on his official Instagram account. The image features the Pacific Rim: Uprising star with Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar.
"Reunited with my straw hats," Mackenyu wrote. "ONE PIECE content day. Brazil, here we come!!!"
It was previously confirmed that the One Piece cast will attend Tudum: A Global Fan Event which will be live streaming from São Paulo, Brazil this weekend. In addition to that, there are speculations that the first trailer for the live-action series will finally be dropped along with an official release date announcement.
It's awesome to see the Straw Hats Pirates all together and there is little doubt that they will drop exciting teases about One Piece on Saturday. Needless to say, fans are already looking forward to Tudum this weekend.
Mackenyu had previously spoken about how exciting it was to work on One Piece. The Rurouni Kenshin: The Final actor shared his initial reaction to seeing the live-action version of the Straw Hats Pirates' iconic ship.
"When I stepped aboard the Going Merry, I can’t wait to show it off to all my friends," Mackenyu admitted with a laugh. "It was awesome and hopefully it'll be a special experience for the fans."
"We brought One Piece to life and we hope you'll enjoy it too," he added.
One Piece will star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Vinsmoke Sanji.
Tudum: A Global Fan Event will be live streaming from Brazil on June 17, 2023, at 4:30PM ET.
