Rurouni Kenshin Final Movie Confirms Mackenyu as Enishi Yukishiro

It's been a long time since we got any updates from the last two Rurouni Kenshin films that are set to premiere later this year. However, it looks like we can finally confirm who will be playing Enishi Yukishiro in the final movies. A new visual has just revealed that the main antagonist will be portrayed by Mackenyu Arata.

The promo image was shared by the official Rurouni Kenshin movie Facebook account and it offers a first look at Enishi. Check it out below.

There have been rumors that Arata has been cast in the final Rurouni Kenshin films although the news was not immediately confirmed. Luckily, we can now rest assured that Enishi will be played by a truly talented actor.

In the manga and OVA, Enishi is a black arms dealer who is based in mainland China and somehow catches the attention of Saito Hajime. He also happens to be the brother of Tomoe Yukishiro, who is connected to Himura Kenshin. We won't spoil too much about the storyline at this point.

This isn't the first live-action adaptation of an anime or manga that Arata has appeared in. His previous projects include JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I and Tokyo Ghoul S. Arata is also known for playing Cadet Ryoichi in Pacific Rim: Uprising.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final will premiere on July 3, 2020, and will be followed by Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning on August 7, 2020.
