The chapter opens at Pangea Castle in Sacred Marijoa, where Sabo and Jewelry Bonney met. They both want to release Kuma, so they decided to forego the small talk and work together.

They broke into the guards' quarters and took the keys that would allow them to free the slave collars.

As they are running down the hallway, Bonney reveals that she has been keeping tabs on the revolutionary army’s activities.

That’s when Karasu appears to retrieve the keys from Sabo.

Sabo also informed Karasu to tell Morley to get Kuma and the other prisoners. He also wants them to be back at their headquarters as soon as everyone is free.

After Karasu left, Sabo asked Bonney about her plans after Sacred Marijoa. Bonney replied that she will go to Egghead Island to see whether Dr. Vegapunk has a way to restore Kuma’s mind.

More castle guards come, but Sabo is quick enough to hide Bonney and himself.

They overheard the guards talking about their small number and how there is a legendary phantom room on the castle grounds, which piqued Sabo's attention.

Eventually, Sabo and Bonney separated as they were both heading in different directions.

Sabo wished Bonney good luck, and the latter told the former to look after her father, even though it’s odd that a radical revolutionary like Sabo wishes her well.

In other news, King Cobra of Alabasta gets an audience with the Gorosei.

King Cobra then tells the story of how the World Government was established 800 years ago by 20 distinct monarchs who came together.

Accordingly, the families of these monarchs promptly moved to Sacred Marijoa to live as one clan, referred to as the Celestial Dragons.

They are the ones responsible for the creation of the world, and as such, they have ruled over its creation ever since.

These 20 monarchs were treated equally throughout the kingdom. They also installed an empty throne to ensure that no particular dictator would spring up among them.

Furthermore, each of these rulers draped a weapon around the throne to symbolize their promise not to sit on it.

At the same time, new royal families were handpicked to rule the nations where the founders could no longer reside. Those families are still in power in this day and age.

With the exception of Alabasta, all references to the previous dynasty's reign were deleted from each of the founders' individual home countries to guarantee a smooth transition.

The monarch at the time in Alabasta was Queen Lili of House Nefertari. While her name was immortalized as one of the founding 20, she did not stay to become a Celestial Dragon.

Instead, Queen Lili returned to Alabasta to continue her reign. This is the reason why the Nefertari family has been able to continue acting as sovereigns.

It also means that only 19 weapons were ever placed around the empty throne.

King Cobra combed through all of his kingdom's historical texts, but as far as he could determine, all known chronicles describing the period following the Void Century had one thing in common: Queen Lili's name was never mentioned.

As a result, King Cobra believes Queen Lili never returned to Alabasta, leaving her younger brother to rule the country.

The Gorosei were then questioned by King Cobra about whether they had any information on what had happened to Queen Lili.

One of the Gorosei responded that Queen Lili's motivations and journey have been lost to history, and they just don't know what happened to her.

In that case, King Cobra confronted the Gorosei and asked about the meaning of "D.".

The Gorosei raised their guard, but King Cobra continued talking about Queen Lili's short letter, which had been passed down from generation to generation.

Out of nowhere, Imu appeared in front of everyone, much to King Cobra’s horror.

Imu was mentioning Lili’s name, and surprisingly, Imu has no hesitation to sit on the empty throne!

Meanwhile, Saint Rosward and Charlos, along with Kuma, were successful in capturing Princess Shirahoshi in the Pangea Castle's public courtyard.

However, emissaries from Ryugu Kingdom appeared promptly to rescue their princess.

Saint Rosward ordered Kuma to attack Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi, who were all trying to free Princess Shirahoshi.

The delegates of Ryugu Kingdom felt pitiful seeing how far Kuma had fallen, but they couldn’t stop engaging with him now.

Soon after, Princess Rebecca appears along with Mjosgard, Sai, and Leo.

They were surprised to see Princess Shirahoshi in chains, so Sai asked Mjosgard’s permission to hit Saint Charlos.

Mjosgard turns to Prince Fukaboshi and tells him to act like nobility. But for Prince Fukaboshi, Mjosgard doesn’t make sense given how the nobles badly treated Princess Shirahoshi.

Charlos ordered Kuma to kill them all, but Sai and Leo are quick enough to use their Hasshoken Secret Art: Tail Hammer and Dragon Nail to finish Charlos.

The onlookers were surprised at how their attacks must have murdered a celestial dragon. Because of this, an admiral will show up for sure, much to the surprise of Sai and Leo.

But before an admiral showed up, Morley appeared to put a hold on Kuma.

Karasu also appeared and informed Morley that he had already gotten the keys from Sabo, so both of them should head down.

As Morley and Karasu left along with Kuma, Princess Shirahoshi and Sai were surprised to see an explosion inside the Pangea Castle while Saint Rosward mourned for his son.
