After a one-week break, One Piece Chapter 1062 is set to release this weekend, though new leaks and spoilers have been shared online that reveal Jewelry Bonney and Bartholomew Kuma’s connection.
As it’s still the middle of the week, there aren’t any scans or images yet from the upcoming chapter. This is because more extensive leaks get shared closer to the chapter’s official release.
Though right now, some major details about the next One Piece chapter have been shared online, and these give fans a better idea of what to expect in the series’ upcoming events.

Arguably, the biggest reveal based on the first batch of leaks is how Bonney is related to Kuma.
In the previous chapters, the Straw Hats encounter Bonney, one of the Worst Generation pirates who was first introduced way back in the Sabaody Arc.
Unlike her fellow Worst Generation members, Bonney hasn’t been a major player in the Straw Hat crew’s adventures.
Most of the other pirates in Luffy’s generation played big roles in the post-time skip sagas.

For instance, Trafalgar Law is a near-constant presence since Punk Hazard. Then there’s Capone “Gang” Bege who is a key figure in Whole Cake Island.
And when Luffy and the crew got to Wano, the island featured the likes of Eustass Kid, X Drake, Basil Hawkins, and Scratchmen Apoo.
That’s not to say Bonney didn’t do anything of note. In the Levely Arc, Bonney helped Sabo and the Revolutionary Army rescue Kuma.
In the latest chapter leaks, it is revealed that Bonney is the daughter of Kuma. She also reveals that Vegapunk was the one who turned Kuma into a weapon.
This gives Bonney a clear reason to help the Revolutionary Army, as well as to seek Vegapunk.
Bonney being Kuma’s daughter has been theorized by fans before in discussions.
It also makes sense given how Bonney reacted when she saw how Kuma was treated in Mary Geoise during the Levely Arc.
Aside from this, the leaks also mentioned that there are six different Vegapunk which explains how his appearance is that of a young woman in the last chapter.
Finally, it seems that CP0 is moving to take down Vegapunk alongside Seraphim Kuma. This might mean the Straw Hats will ally with Vegapunk in this arc’s events.
Of course, you’ll want to take these leaks with a grain of salt as they may turn out to be inaccurate as more info gets released.
One Piece Chapter 1062 will be released officially soon in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan and on Manga Plus internationally.
