New Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Trailer Pits The Party Against Chonky Dragons

It's almost time for the premiere of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and a new trailer offers a better glimpse at what to expect in the highly anticipated film. Interestingly, we get to see how the party comes together, why they are on the bad side of a Red Wizard of Thay, and two awesomely chonky dragons.

The Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves trailer opens with the Bard and the Barbarian facing off against a few soldiers. Well, it's generally Michelle Rodriguez's Holga in the fight, fending off the bad guys despite having her hands tied. While all this is going down, Chris Pine's Edgin is trying to get his binds untied, suggesting that he might need sharper steps to accomplish the deed.

We also get to meet the Paladin, the Sorcerer, and the Druid, and although he's not with them, the Rogue is also in action in the trailer. It's immediately clear that the rest of the party aren't fond of Regé-Jean Page's humorless Xenk but they are stuck together for an interesting reason: the party stole something they shouldn't have, and gave it to someone who shouldn't have it.

It's a hilarious action-packed trailer that doesn't seem to have any dungeons. The good news is, there are dragons! The first one is brought to life by the Daisy Head's Red Wizard and immediately attacks Edgin. But the trailer saved the best for last as the entire party finds themself face-to-face with a magnificently chonky dragon.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. The ensemble cast includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant. The film will also feature the cast of the Dungeons & Dragons web series Critical Role in cameo roles.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits theaters on March 31, 2023.
