Dungeons & Dragons Movie Stars Chris Pine, Sophia Lillis & Michelle Rodriguez Spotted on Set


Paramount Pictures' Dungeons & Dragon movie is currenly filming at Carrickfergus Castle in Northern Ireland, and stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sophia Lillis were both spotted arriving at the set. The film is based on the iconic fantasy-themed role-playing tabletop game of the same title, which began in 1974 and was designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson

The Daily Mail shared photos of several actors arriving on set to film scenes for the upcoming D&D film, including a first look at Chris Pine wearing a leather jacket and blue undershirt. Since other co-stars were spotted entering the castle in costume, it's likely that this is the first look at Pine's costume for the film.

The film also stars Regé-Jean Page, Huge Grant, Justice Smith, Jason Wong, Chloe Coleman, and Sophia Lillis. The Dungeons & Dragons movie will be directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. According to an earlier script, the film would involve a party of adventurers seeking out the Eye of Vecna, an iconic artifact in the D&D lore. Plot details have been scarce; all we know is that the film will be set in the Forgotten Realms.

The production for the Dungeons & Dragons film started last May, and it's currently scheduled to release on March 2023.

The D&D and Magic: The Gathering crossover set, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is set to release for tabletop worldwide on July 23, 2021. It's also set to release on Magic: The Gathering Arena and Magic Online a week earlier. The Adventures in the Forgotten Realms products are now available for preorder.
