There's been a lot of talk over the last couple of months as to who should take over the Black Panther mantle from the late Chadwick Boseman. Not only that but the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom is torn on whether T'Challa should get replaced or if Marvel Studios should find a new actor to play the role. Several rumors have circulated all over the internet claiming that characters like Shuri, M'Baku, and even the already deceased Erik Killmonger are in the running to become the next Black Panther but despite the fact that the studio has revealed the title for Black Panther 2, no casting news have been dropped.
Even Bridgerton actor Regé-Jean Page is being inserted in the casting talk and according to a previous rumor, the actor is being eyed to replace Boseman in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but instead of him playing T'Challa, he will reportedly portray a brand new character who will later assume the Black Panther role but as it stands, no confirmation from the studio has been made as well.
Now, if ever you were wondering how the actor would look like as the new Black Panther, digital artist Arkin Tyagi unveiled a jaw-dropping artwork depicting the 31-year-old British actor as the next Wakandan hero. I gotta say, I can totally see him as Black Panther so I'm definitely behind this idea. Check it out here:
Considering the fact that he'll no longer be returning for the next season of Bridgerton, it's safe to assume that Page's schedule will become lighter and less hectic than before and he'll be able to accommodate a potential gig in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while Page has yet to address the rumors linking him to the franchise, I'm sure a role in the MCU is something that would totally appeal to him because let's face it, being part of a billion-dollar franchise is something else.
