Alien: Covenant may not be up for release until next year, but 20th Century Fox is already pumping the hype for the highly anticipated installment to the Alien franchise.
The new photo was released via the movie's Facebook page, showing a really dark area in a spacecraft where Katherine Waterston's character is seemingly stuck in.

It's worth noting that this scene suggests scenes in Ridley Scott's Alien. That tank top to Sigourney Weaver's iconic attire back in 1979 and that spacecraft just screams Alien.
This isn't the only disturbing scene we've seen so far of the movie. Earlier this week, a few set photos were leaked via Twitter, revealing some classic, horrifying Alien trademark with an extra-terrestrial fight scene and massacre.
In the past couple of weeks, we've been getting teases and updates about Alien: Covenant from the studio including a first set photo, and details like the movie being "Hard R," as well as how it will feature every version of the Xenomorph.
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott's 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
Alien: Covenant hits theaters on August 4, 2017. Aside from Fassbender, the movie stars Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, and Danny McBride.
