In case you’re unfamiliar, Negi Haruba is a manga artist who is best known for his hit manga series The Quintessential Quintuplets (aka Go-Toubun no Hanayome) for which he won the Best Shonen Manga Award at the 43rd Kodansha Manga Awards.

But The Quintessential Quintuplets isn’t his first work that got serialized, as he began with creating one-shots.

Haruba's big break came with Karma of Purgatory which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2014 to 2015.

Though it’s fair to say that Haruba gained renown for his second work, Go-Toubun no Hanayome, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2017 to October 2020.

His romantic comedy manga became popular enough to receive an anime series adaptation which began with the first season that aired from January to March 2019.

Meanwhile, the second season was animated by Bibury Animation Studios and aired from January to March 2021.

Bibury was also in charge of The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie which was released in Japan back in May.

In 2021, Haruba began his new work that’s entitled Go, Go, Loser Ranger! (aka Sentai Daishikkaku in Japanese).

In case you’re unfamiliar, Haruba’s latest work is a superhero manga series that features a unique twist to the Super Sentai or Power Rangers story.

The anime’s announcement came with a new trailer which you can watch here:

The series follows D, a foot soldier that's part of the Villainous Army. This evil force attempted to invade Earth 13 years ago, but they were defeated by the Super Sentai Dragon Keepers.

Since their defeat, the surviving foot soldiers have been forced to reenact their defeat every Sunday to a crowd of spectators.

After getting tired of this, D decides to defeat the Dragon Keepers by infiltrating their organization.

To celebrate the anime’s announcement, Haruba shared a special illustration and message on his personal Twitter account which you can see here:

While the anime is confirmed, there’s not a lot of info yet about the Go, Go, Loser Ranger! anime adaptation.

We’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out more about the show, including its release date, episode count, and more.
