Natalie Portman Teases Epic Thor: Love and Thunder Deleted Scenes

Thor: Love and Thunder is finally out and fans are loving every second of the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. However, the run time is surprisingly short, leading to speculations that there could have been a lot of footage that didn't make the theatrical cut. So what exactly did we miss out on? Natalie Portman reveals that they had shot several scenes that ended up being deleted from the final version of the film!

Natalie Portman recently spoke to IndieWire where she shared how much footage was ultimately left out of the movie.

"There were whole sequences, planets, characters, and worlds that didn’t end up in the movie that were hilarious and amazing and [that] we spent a lot of time and energy on, and certainly the entire crew also designing and conceiving," Portman said.

She teased that some "very emotional scenes" between Thor and Jane Foster were removed from the theatrical cut. Interestingly, Portman also confirmed that there was a lot of extra time with Valkyrie and Jane in New Asgard that didn't make it to the final version.

"It’s just amazing how much great material is not in the film, considering how much great material is in it," said said. "Usually, it’s like, you’re just trying to get enough good stuff to put in the film, and this had overflow. So that was really surprising."

We already got hints at what could have been in Thor: Love and Thunder. It was previously reported that Game of Thrones star Lena Headey had several scenes cut from the film but still ended up being sued by her former agency. In addition to that, Christian Bale revealed that Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum almost appeared in Thor 4.

Thor: Love and Thunder is now screening in theaters worldwide.
