My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it seems that a reveal is imminent based on a possible teaser.
The official My Dress-Up Twitter account recently posted an interesting tweet with the words “By the way, tomorrow is Tanabata...” which is a reference to Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Tabanata is a Japanese festival celebrated in the summer, with the beginning of the celebrations happening every July 7. This festival celebrates the meeting of the deities, Orihime and Hikoboshi which are represented by the stars, Vega and Altair.
Based on Japanese legend, these two deities are lovers that are separated by the Milky Way and are only allowed to meet on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.
While the festival legend is not connected to the story of My Dress-Up Darling, the last episode of season 1 was set in a Japanese summer festival.
This tweet may just be a simple reference to the first season, but there’s reason to believe that this is a possible My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 teaser.
If you look at the series’ Twitter, most of the tweets are promotions and official announcements. This new tweet is one of the few with a more personal message, possibly indicating big news to come soon.
My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru in Japanese) is an anime series by CloverWorks that’s based on the manga series of the same name by Shinichi Fukuda. The manga started serialization on Young Gangan back in January 2018.
The series follows Wakana Gojo, a high school student who dreams of becoming a hina doll craftsman. At school, he is seen making doll costumes by the popular student, Marin Kitagawa. As she’s interested in cosplay, Marin asks Gojo to help her create costumes for her cosplay hobby.
My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. But if it does get revealed soon, keep your eyes peeled for tomorrow as we might just see an announcement.
