Moon Knight Episode 4 has so much confusing things going in that there are a lot of questions that are longing to be answered especially on the latter part of it when the scene changes to the mental institution after Marc gets shot to the chest. A lot of “what just happened” came out of everyone’s minds. One of the baffling parts is the Bingo game where Steven’s card supposedly won.

After the scene of Tomb Buster was shown, the scene pans into a psychiatric facility where a bingo game is being played by the patients and Crawley calls the numbers. Marc holds a card and Layla seemed to have taken it for herself claiming that she won, even assuring Marc that this time, she’ll share with him the winnings.

The bingo game is, in itself, weird. Usually, the numbers under B are 1 to 15, I are 16 to 30, N are 31 to 45 with a free space in the middle, G are 46 to 60, and 0 are 61 to 75. However, in Moon Knight, the numbers and letters are weird considering that these are what Crawley called: B-22, G-15, B-7, N-39, I-22, and the weirdest of all, T-16.

First of all, the numbers and the letters don’t fit in the normal bingo game and what in the world is T-16? The word “bingo” doesn’t even have such letter. What’s up with you, Crawley?

Well, these numbers are quite significant to Moon Knight. For B-22, it references Moon Knight Vol. 1 #22 where Morpheus, the villain, is at the Manhattan Research Hospital, much like the psychiatric ward they are in. G-15 references Moon Knight Vol. 1 #15 where the titular hero struggles to deal with Steven, Marc, and Jake, making him worry that he might be chasing his own tail all along.

T-16, the weirdest number Crawley called, references Moon Knight Vol. 5 #16 where Marc and Marlene, his wife, is at a museum. B-7 references Moon Knight Vol. 1 #7 where the titular hero lost hist grasp of what is real and what isn’t. N-39 references Moon Knight #39 where Donna first appeared along with Doctor Doom. Lastly, I-2 references the very first appearance of Arthur Harrow in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #2.

Other than these, even when Layla called that she won with the card of Marc, the numbers marked are totally different from what Crawley called out. There’s the following that references the comics, too: B-83 to the 1983 Moon Knight Special Edition, I-23 to Invaders #23 where the Scarlet Scarab first appeared, and I-28 to Moon Knight #28 where Marc and Marlene go to the birthplace of the titular character.

The others that reference the comics are: N-86 to Moon Knight 2017 comic where the Sun King is Patient 86, G-35 to Moon Knight Vol. 1 #35 where Steven Grant is on a wheelchair like Marc in the episode, G-65 to Moon Knight #65 where Marc Spector is the cover, O-11 to Moon Knight #11 where the final strike versus the Fist of Khonshu is, and O-55 to Moon Knight #55 which featured Duchamp, the same name in the contacts in Episode 1.

Moon Knight Episode 4 is now streaming on Disney Plus where it would be available on the service in the highest streaming quality, 4K. Episode 5 arrives at 3 AM EST on April 27, 2022.
