A major villain from the X-Men comics will be making his MCU debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, potentially hinting at the upcoming Mutant Saga.
Fans have been looking forward to the release of the upcoming MCU movie, which will mark the next solo adventure of Tom Holland's web-slinger following the events of No Way Home. However, there is also anticipation because of the rumored debut of Jean Grey, who will reportedly be played by Sadie Sink, and possibly lead to the eventual MCU debut of the X-Men.
Which X-Men Villain Will Make an MCU Debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

The closed captions for the new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day revealed the name of the character that Tramell Tillman will be playing in the upcoming movie.
As it turns out, the Severance star is taking on the role of William “Bill” Metzger, a notable villain character in the X-Men comics who is known to have an anti-mutant agenda.
In case you're not familiar, Metzger first stepped into the public eye as a prominent anti-mutant activist, leading the Anti-Mutant Militia and publishing its propaganda paper, The Militia Press. Following a major incident in Middletown, Metzger used aggressive media appearances and rallies to rapidly expand recruitment.
Operating from a base in Trenton, New Jersey, he carefully framed mutants as a national crisis, presenting himself as a credible political figure while orchestrating public media attacks against high-profile mutants like Warren Worthington III.
As his influence grew, Metzger leveraged his visibility to form a clandestine alliance with the federal government. He met with FBI Agent Cain to offer the Militia's intelligence on suspected mutants, linking their data to technology recovered from Bolivar Trask’s robots.
However, for the MCU version, Metzger will be introduced as a leader/supervisor in the Department of Damage Control (DODC), which polices the superhumans and, potentially, mutants as well when they are officially recognized. Perhaps his appearance will connect to the rumored debut of Jean Grey. We will only find out once we see the film.
What to Expect in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will mark an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.
Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, a full-time Spider-Man, but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, Mark Ruffalo, and Liza Colon-Zayas.
The film is set to release in theaters on July 31. It will also be available on IMAX in select international markets.
