Meghan Markle has some other plans if Prince Harry will attend King Charles' coronation without her, according to a report.
King Charles Prefers Meghan Markle To Skip His Coronation?
It is still not clear whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend King Charles' coronation or not. However, according to a report, Markle has some other plans in case her husband attends the event alone, especially since she felt the palace was only after her husband's presence.
An insider told New Idea:
"So far, that has not been forthcoming. Charles equally, does not want to give one and would quite prefer it if Meghan wasn't there at all – but he does want his son by his side on the most important day of his life. They are at a stalemate."
An insider said that Markle wasn't happy about that. Royal expert Kinsey Schofield also heard the rumors and confirmed that the duchess was allegedly not thrilled that the palace was not as persistent in having her.
Schofield claimed on GB News:
"She believes they are a unit and that it should be both of them that are wanted and the palace should be eager to have them both come. But allegedly, the palace really is only trying to persuade Harry that's their goal."
Meghan Markle Has Another Trip During King Charles' Coronation?
Aside from the palace allegedly not pushing on Markle's attendance at the coronation, the former actress is not happy that the event falls on the same day as her son Archie's 4th birthday.
New Idea's source added:
"Meghan thinks the whole thing is incredibly selfish and [blames] both Charles and even partially Harry. She understands that her husband is being noble and trying to appease her, but everyone seems to forget that there's an innocent pawn in all of this – little Archie."
The tipster added that Prince Harry is considering attending the coronation even if it would mean missing their son's birthday. However, Markle reportedly has a big plan for their child's special day and doesn't want her husband to miss it.
The source said:
"He's torn though, because Meghan had all these grand plans of a star-studded birthday bash, now that Archie is old enough to remember his parties. She isn't happy that he may miss such a special occasion."
If Prince Harry pursues his plan to attend the coronation, Markle will have a family trip sans her husband, the source claimed. She is reportedly planning to take the kids to the Caribbean.
The tipster continued:
"If Harry goes off to London, Meghan won't be sitting around idle, baking cupcakes with her mum and having a small celebration. Instead, why not take Doria and the children on a mini-break to somewhere like the Caribbean? She thinks that threatening to take off with the kids will force Harry to stick around."
The source added that Markle loves the blue waters, white sands and French flavor. There is reportedly no other way to mark Archie's birthday but spend it in a beautiful place, and the duchess is hoping her husband feels the same way.
