Kate Middleton was very close to Prince Harry before Meghan Markle joined the picture. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got married, they opted to have a separate office from the Prince and Princess of Wales before they stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. A more serious falling out ensued after.
Kate Middleton Didn't Want To See Prince Harry, Meghan Markle?
The Duchess of Cambridge is probably one of the royals who suffers several blows from Prince Harry in Spare. Prince Harry also shared her personal text with Markle in his memoir.
Prince Harry sharing the private text made some see Middleton as cold and argumentative. At this point, Prince William's wife is reportedly not ready to see the Sussexes yet. There are reports that they might return to the United Kingdom for King Charles' coronation.
"The whole ordeal has changed how Kate sees Harry altogether," an anonymous source told New Idea.
"He was once one of her closest friends … the trust has totally gone now. The last thing Kate wants is to be forced into having a face-to-face with the two people who have tried so hard to hurt her."
The upcoming coronation is a family celebration. However, Middleton is worried about the Sussexes coming up after all the drama they caused.
"Kate's worried that if the Sussexes turn up, she's going to have to spend every second looking over her shoulder," the source added.
King Charles Asked Prince William, Kate Middleton To Reconcile With Prince Harry, Meghan Markle?
King Charles wants his youngest son around during his coronation. It's not a secret how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attacked the Prince and Princess of Wales in their Netflix docuseries and his memoir Spare. So, Middleton is reportedly paranoid about the Sussexes joining the family after Prince Harry leaked her private text messages with Markle.
"The King has asked William and Kate to get back in touch with Harry and Meghan and try to smooth things over, but Kate is paranoid that any text or email sent their way could be misconstrued and put out into the public," the source continued.
"She’s even reticent to have written conversations with anyone mutually close with Harry – like a few of William’s friends and even Princess Eugenie – because she’s so worried it could end up in the hands of the Sussexes, who she’s sure wouldn’t think twice about leaking her texts again. She’s careful to the point of paranoia about putting anything in writing, where they’re concerned, for fear of being ‘difficult’ again."
The insider said it was sad that Middleton has to live that way, adding that the Princess of Wales doesn't deserve it.

What Did Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Say About Kate Middleton?
In his book, Spare, Prince Harry exposed the private SMS between Middleton and Markle. He claimed that the future queen consort also had a number of issues with the way Markle managed their royal wedding.
Prince Harry said the fiery exchange between his sister-in-law and wife left the latter sobbing on the floor. Prince William's younger brother also claimed that Middleton grimaced when Markle borrowed her lip gloss.
Meanwhile, Markle claimed in their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan that Middleton was not a hugger. However, many argued, and Middleton debunked it recently by hugging a former teacher.
