Camilla Parker-Bowles has a new biography on the way, written by Angela Levin. The new tome examined her relationship with the members of the firm, including Meghan Markle.

Queen Consort Camilla Reportedly Tried To Help Meghan Markle

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California. According to Prince Harry, he saw his wife struggling while they were in the palace.

In their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle said there was a point when she had suicidal thoughts. There were a lot of negative headlines against her when she was pregnant, and the couple felt that no one stood up to defend them.

However, according to Levin in her new book Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: From Outcast to Queen Consort, King Charles' wife tried to help Markle.

"The Queen Consort knows more than anyone how difficult it is to become accepted into the Royal family and wanted to help any newcomer. This worked well with Catherine. Camilla

helped her familiarise herself with some of the customs, antiquated protocols and restrictions of royal life," Levin wrote in the excerpt obtained by The Telegraph.

Camilla went for a girls-only lunch with Kate Middleton and her sister, Pippa, with her daughter Laura at Berkeley Hotel restaurant in Knightsbridge to bond. Middleton's pal spoke to Levin and said, "Camilla's exceptional warmth has really touched Catherine."

Camilla did the same to Markle when she arrived in London, according to Levin.

"Prince Charles enjoyed talking to her, especially about the theatre and arts. Camilla felt the experience she had from coping with public abuse, press insults and frostiness from the Royal family put her in a good place to help Meghan adjust to the restrictions of royal life and was equally keen to help Meghan find her feet," Prince Harry's biographer continued.

Just like what Camilla did to the new Princess of Wales, she had lunches with Markle. During their encounter, she offered some advice on how Markle should handle the pressure.

"She tried to be supportive, was happy to be her mentor and took her out for private lunches. A source at the time told me: 'She doesn't want to see anyone struggling and she is fond of Meghan,'" Levin added. "Meghan, however, seemed bored, was unresponsive and preferred to go her own way, with the result that the Queen's Consort's advice landed on stony ground."

How's Camilla's Relationship With Meghan Markle And Prince Harry At Present

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been estranged from the royal family after they stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. Several sources said that the Sussexes' rift with the royal family only brought King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton closer.

According to Levin, some hope that "interest in what the couple say fades away." However, one source also told her that it seemed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had already "written themselves out of the script." Others suggested to just shrug off any harmful comments that Prince Harry might make or "privately negotiate some kind of ceasefire." However, the source also doubts if it will work if Markle only wants to win.

"An important alternative is to keep America close. My source added, 'The Sussexes are more liked in America than in the UK, which can damage not only Charles and Camilla but the whole monarchy. The American issue has to be dealt with. The Cambridges have to go to the US to show who the real stars are. As will the Queen Consort and King Charles,'" Levin added.
