Kate Middleton did not perform for the cameras during her joint walkabout with Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A body language expert said the new Princess of Wales has already done too many rituals and accepted the fact that their relationship won't be warm.
Kate Middleton Done With Meghan Markle And Prince Harry?
Body language expert Judi James weighed in on Kate Middleton's behavior toward Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the Queen's funeral. According to her, she was being professional, and their relationship had not improved.
"I think Kate has done too many overkill rituals with Harry and in particular Meghan; the smiling on Christmas day, 'we're best friends' at Wimbledon, I think now she's probably accepted that there won't be a hugely warm relationship there and is probably just being very professional," James told GB News, per Daily Star.
The expert also revisited Middleton's behavior during the walkabout. According to her, she kept out of the way, unlike her and Prince William's encounter with Prince Harry during Prince Philip's funeral when Markle was not around. At the time, she was playing peacemaker between the royal siblings.
"I did love to watch Kate here, though, because the last time or one of the biggest times that we saw the bothers get together, which was at Philip's funeral, it was very much Kate behind the scenes, she was choreographing, nudging them, getting them in the same place, both men looked reluctant," James said. "Here though, she kept very much out of the way. She came out of the car, she slammed the car door, she moved away quite quickly. It was William that actually extended his arm and invited Meghan to join in the conversation."
Kate Middleton Less Keen To Perform For The Cameras During Walkabout With Meghan Markle And Prince Harry
Days after Queen Elizabeth's passing, Prince William reached out to his brother Prince Harry and sister-in-law Meghan Markle. The new Prince of Wales invited them to join him and his wife, Middleton, for a walkabout outside Windsor Castle.
According to body language analyst Dr. Lilian Glass, Prince William was "a bit more cordial" to Markle compared to Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge even "refused" to look at Markle or her direction.
"She was being genuine. It was not in her heart to smile at Meghan, so she didn't do it," Glass told Page Six. "Meghan, on the other hand, looked like a sad and desperate puppy as she tried to catch Kate's eye gaze repeatedly. But Kate was having none of it."

James echoed the same sentiment. According to her, Middleton kept her distance from the group.
"Walking away from Meghan and the car, she went to join the brothers before keeping a wide social space between herself and the others, looking keen to get on with the job rather than perform in any soap opera," James told Page Six.
