Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Missed Their Kids Like Crazy

Aside from the alleged treatment from the royal family that prompted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to leave the UK almost immediately after the Queen's funeral, another reason was their children. The pair have missed their children already.

Initially, Prince Harry and Markle only planned to stay in England for less than a week. However, Queen Elizabeth passed away on Sept. 8. The couple decided to extend their stay until her funeral.

"Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to Montecito almost immediately after the funeral, where they'll be reunited with Archie and Lilibet after being separated for over two weeks," an anonymous source told Us Weekly, adding that it's the "longest amount of time they've been apart from their children."

The pair embarked on their Europe trip on Sept. 4. They attended a series of philanthropic events and initially had no plans to see the royal family. However, King Charles called his youngest son when the Queen's condition deteriorated. Unfortunately, he was too late to bid his final goodbye to his grandmother.
