Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined the royal family as they grieved the Queen's passing. However, the pair allegedly looked angry during the late monarch's funeral.
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Fuming During The Funeral?
Royal expert and author Tom Bower spoke with GB News about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. According to the Revenge author, Prince Harry and Markle are going back to California "fuming" because the members of the firm allegedly showed "very little sympathy towards them."
He added that the royal couple "looked quite angry" during the funeral of Queen Elizabeth. The pair reportedly felt they were not afforded the "respect they think they deserve."
"I thought the whole way the rest of the Royal Family treated Meghan and Harry today showed that they had very little sympathy towards them," Bower said as quoted by Daily Star. "And, in return, Meghan and Harry looked quite angry that they were not being treated with the respect they think they deserve. They are going to go back to Montecito fuming and the autobiography [of Prince Harry] will soon be dug out and released."
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Missed Their Kids Like Crazy
Aside from the alleged treatment from the royal family that prompted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to leave the UK almost immediately after the Queen's funeral, another reason was their children. The pair have missed their children already.
Initially, Prince Harry and Markle only planned to stay in England for less than a week. However, Queen Elizabeth passed away on Sept. 8. The couple decided to extend their stay until her funeral.
"Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to Montecito almost immediately after the funeral, where they'll be reunited with Archie and Lilibet after being separated for over two weeks," an anonymous source told Us Weekly, adding that it's the "longest amount of time they've been apart from their children."
The insider added, "They've missed the kids like crazy and have been FaceTiming them every day, but can't wait to see and hold them again after a poignant few weeks."
The pair embarked on their Europe trip on Sept. 4. They attended a series of philanthropic events and initially had no plans to see the royal family. However, King Charles called his youngest son when the Queen's condition deteriorated. Unfortunately, he was too late to bid his final goodbye to his grandmother.
