Marvel President Kevin Feige Admits Doctor Strange 2 Trailers Have Spoiled Too Much

Now that the long-awaited Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiered in several countries around the world, both critics and viewers have praised the film for several reasons including Sam Raimi’s distinct horror element, Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen’s top-tier performance, and best of all, the surprising cameos waiting for the fans.

The recent teasers from the Doctor Strange sequel definitely added to the hype, especially after the trailer seemingly confirmed Patrick Stewart's Professor X's inclusion in the film. Just when fans thought this was impressive, a recent TV spot confirmed two major characters appearing in the film, Lashana Lynch's Maria Rambeau as a Captain Marvel variant, and Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter.

Now, at the world premiere of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel President Kevin Feige was present at the event to show support for the highly-anticipated film. When asked about his favorite moment that's already seen in the teasers, Feige appears to disapprove of how much the promotional materials have confirmed.

"There’s been too much in the trailers, I don’t want to talk about anything else," Feige responded. "But I will say, Sam has made this movie to be experienced on as big a screen as possible, and it’s even the first one in a long time that 3D was really taken into account, too, because the first Doctor Strange film I think was out best film ever in 3D, and this one now will be right alongside that."

With a film set to be as massive as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, how they keep the teasers from being 'too spoilery' is very critical. Mentioning how Marvel and Sony extremely tried to keep Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's inclusion in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which might be the standard for keeping secrets that Feige is talking about, not disclosing anything for the fans and only uncovering the surprises when the film finally hit theaters.

Nevertheless, if the promotional materials have confirmed three major characters in the recent teasers, it just means that there is much more to anticipate with the upcoming film and several bigger surprises are waiting for the fans.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit the big screens on May 5.
