Doctor Strange 2 Trailer: Is Professor X Finally Arriving?

The trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stole this year’s Super Bowl with an immensely mind-blowing teaser of what is to come in the film and many fans screamed their hearts out when a mysterious character spoke, a familiar voice was heard, and everyone was dying to have it confirmed whether Patrick Stewart is really back as Professor X which would mean that the mutants are coming!

Professor X is known to be the head of the mutants, the world’s greatest telepath and while stuck in a chair due to an accident, he is one of the most brilliant minds in all of Marvel. Patrick Stewart has been in the same chair over the last two decades, along with his younger version, James McAvoy, perfectly portraying the role in previous X-Men films before Fox was acquired by Disney.

Many fans are certain it was his voice. However, that leads to the question as to why is he the one who Doctor Strange faced when he was apprehended for messing with space and time, possibly for what he did for Peter Parker. He was brought into something like the TVA in Loki, only this time, it was a really silvery grayish place that looks a lot more civilized, possibly the Illuminati. Strange was brought before a tribunal while in handcuffs.

There have been a lot of rumors surrounding this issue and with the multiverse opening up, now is certainly the most perfect time to have the mutants come into the MCU. See, they have been much awaited since their last film came out. The multiverse leads to doorways into infinite possibilities and having the X-Men arrive is one that only has the question of how they would enter the MCU.

Consider this, there is that comic book, House of M, in which some bits were already shown in WandaVision. It’s about Wanda reaching her most powerful and whispering “no more mutants,” erasing an entire race. Wanda herself already hinted that it is possible that she may be one of the villains in the film when she asked Strange how unfair it is when she broke the rules, she was considered a villain. If so, this storyline could be a cool addition to the MCU.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6, 2022.
