Loki Season 2 has been gaining buzz lately as its release date is right around the corner. The second season will bring back the Trickster God Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his female counterpart Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), and has added Indiana Jones icon and Everything, Everywhere, All At Once actor Ke Huy Quan in a mystery role. A new report arises stating that the new MCU villain is also returning for Season 2, as well.

You might remember Kang the Conqueror’s official MCU debut back in the finale episode of Loki Season 1, where he was revealed to be the creator of the Time Variance Authority. Given that the He Who Remains variant is considered to be the “lesser evil” among his other more ruthless variants, the MCU and the multiverse are in grave danger. Jonathan Majors will not only be reprising Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but will also be doing so in Loki Season 2.

While Marvel has yet to announce its official confirmation on a Kang comeback, seeing as he is now the “new” Thanos, it is only logical that he remains to be the main villain in Loki 2, seeing as Loki Season 1 also ended with a tease that Sylvie had pushed Loki into a different timeline, unlocking the first look of a “ruthless” Kang variant, off to conquer the multiverse by further branching out the timeline to his own accord.

Alongside the titular characters, Loki Season 2 will also star Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Owen Wilson as Agent Mobius, Eugene Cordero as Casey, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, with Tara Strong possibly returning to voice Miss Minutes again.

Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ this summer of 2023, while Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023 to start off Marvel Phase Five.
