A source told E! News that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson amicably agreed to end their romance after realizing that it’s challenging to make things work due to distance, as well as their busy schedules.
Still, the exes have a lot of love and respect for each other.
Prior to their split, Kardashian and Davidson made headlines after multiple sources revealed that they are very serious about each other. In fact, one source even claimed that it’s only a matter of time before the Saturday Night Live alum pops the question.

Pete Davidson Allegedly Thought Of Proposing To Kim Kardashian
However, insiders also claimed that Davidson cannot just ask Kardashian to marry him. After all, he needs to go through Kris Jenner first, who serves as Kardashian’s manager and mom aka momager.
“Pete wants to propose, but he'll have to sign a contract. The way Kris sees it, Kim needs a partner who can work with the family and fit with their long-term goals. She wants Pete to agree to commit to the brand for the foreseeable future and give her total control over any decisions around marriage and children. She knows Pete will make a great son-in-law while being an asset to the Kardashian franchise, so she's already making arrangements for a proposal by early summer- possibly sooner. Kim's totally on board,” the source told Heat World in April (via Mirror UK).
Kim Kardashian Admitted She Was Serious About Pete Davidson
Around the same time, Kardashian appeared on Good Morning America, where she told host Robin Roberts that she was very serious about Davidson.
“I mean, I am a, like, relationship kind of girl, for sure. I wouldn't be with someone if I didn't plan on spending a lot of my time with them. Obviously, I wanna take my time, but I'm very happy and very content, and it's such a good feeling just to be at peace,” she said (via Harper’s Bazaar).
So, it seems like an understatement to say that Kardashian and Davidson’s split shocked their fans. After all, they were all hoping for the exes to have a happy ending and by that for Kardashian and Davidson to wed and eventually have their own family.
