Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle reunited for the first time last week to show their gratitude to the mourners who gave Queen Elizabeth flowers and letters. The sisters-in-law’s outing was welcomed by the public, especially since it’s been more than two years since they were last seen together.

However, body language expert Katia Loisal said that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s interactions, or the lack thereof, were anything but warm and friendly. During his interview with 7news.com.au, she said that the Princess of Wales shot icy glares at Markle to freeze her out, and she succeeded.
“Quite unlike the confident Meghan we know, Meghan appeared ill at ease during this encounter, which is not surprising given the recent criticism that she has faced. On numerous occasions Meghan looked over at Kate, however, the gaze wasn’t reciprocated,” she said.
Loisal added that on multiple occasions, it seemed as though Middleton looked through Markle.

Kate Middleton Made Meghan Markle Uncomfortable During Their Walkabout
At one point, Markle looked very uncomfortable during her outing with Prince William, Middleton, and Prince Harry.
“Meghan’s hand lifted hesitantly as if to wave, but stopped mid-air, rather pausing to adjust her hair, her head and gaze lowered, before looking up and giving a quick wave, her arm coming back to rest in front of her body in a partial arm barrier,” the body language expert said.
Luckily, Prince Harry made Markle feel right at home with him by her side. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex walked in front of Windsor Castle, and they also greeted mourners who were standing outside the premises.

Meanwhile, body language expert Judi James also echoed Loisal’s observations. She told Daily Mail that there were no signs of affection between the couples.
“This is a phenomenal and unexpected scene that displays some natural caution and awkwardness in the body language, although as a statement of intent it seems choreographed as something of a loving tribute to the Queen and in some ways the new King, who took what was maybe the first step in speaking of his love for Harry and Meghan in his recent speech. The four line up together to suggest some form of unity and it is William, with his puffed chest and air of confidence, who looks like the leader and instigator. Harry performs some clothing touch anxiety rituals but Meghan seems to be on hand to offer comfort, support, and encouragement,” James said.
Still, there’s no denying the fact that seeing the former Fab Four reunite was a welcome treat for royal fans. And they momentarily buried the hatchet for the sake of Queen Elizabeth.
