Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 5 Recap
For any newcomers, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a school romance anime following two genius students; school-president Miyuki Shirogane, and vice-president Kaguya Shinomiya.
Everyone in their elite school believes that the two would be the perfect couple - including Kaguya and Miyuki themselves. Unfortunately, they're both too proud to admit their feelings, so they both come up with complex antics and mind games to make each other confess.
Episodes of the romantic comedy are usually divided into short, digestible chunks, so don't be intimidated if you haven't started yet!
Episode 5 featured one of the now well-known mentor-mentee sub-plots between Miyuki and Chika Fujiwara. Still self-conscious about his shameful rap skills, Miyuki gets Chika to teach him.
Complicating things is the fact that Chika herself can't rap, so Miyuki helps her learn before making her teach him - yes, some complicated mental gymnastics happen there.
For those that wondered if Hayasaka likes Miyuki Shirogane or vice versa, this is another complicated episode.
While the President has eyes for no one but Kaguya, and his relationship with Hayasaka is just a friendship in which both parties help the other see the world in a different light, things do get a bit confusing with Kaguya and Fujiwara also present.
At the end of the day, there isn't much of a conclusion, other than the fact that Hayasaka - who has had a grittier life than either of the main characters - is still the best rapper in class.
The episode concludes with Maki Shijo asking for help once more. Not much comes out of it, other than another scene depicting her odd friendship with Shirogane and Ishigami.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 6 will be released on the 14th of May 2022 at midnight in Japan. Fans in other parts of the world, including the USA, Canada, and Europe, will be able to access it from the 13th of May.
