Kaguya-sama: Love Is War features an interesting cast of characters who start off intentionally flat but show hidden depths and potential for development as the school romance progresses. Few characters in the show, and in anime generally, are as iconic as Chika Fujiwara, and as Kaguya-sama is a romantic anime, fans often wonder about their favorite characters' relationship status. So, who does Chika Fujiwara end up with in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War?

Chika Fujiwara is Kaguya's friend and classmate, and she acts as treasurer of the student council. If you're interested in the many Kaguya-sama: Love Is War references, she's based on Kuramochi no Miko, the second suitor in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Her cheating in games might be an inspiration from this suitor's forgery. Her surname, on the other hand, is derived from an actual Japanese clan that played an active role in Japanese politics throughout history.

Chika Fujiwara is so popular with fans because of her fun personality, signature dance moves, motherly attitude towards others, humor, and voracious appetite, among many other reasons. Her character often offers comic relief and she's arguably the most approachable student council member.

So far, Chika Fujiwara doesn't end up with anyone in the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga or anime. While she's interested in others' love lives, she doesn't seem equally interested in her own, until Kaguya and Miyuki end up together, at least.

Following that, Chika seems jealous of the relationship and acts as if Miyuki stole her girlfriend, though she eventually comes to accept her friends' relationship. In Chapter 235 of the manga, Chika states that she wants a boyfriend as she feels left out and wants the experiences her friends have. Once again, she mentions that she would like to date someone like Kaguya, so there's a strong suggestion that she might be bi.

Meanwhile, Hayasaka seems interested in Chika, possibly in a romantic way, with Kaguya even suggesting that they should date. In an anime and manga that has focused on straight relationships so far, it would be great to have lgbtq+ characters as well - especially characters as beloved as Chika.

On the other hand, not ending the manga and anime with Chika in a relationship might also be a good idea. Many romance anime try to pair any character with another (Fruits Basket is notorious for that, and romance isn't even its main focus), often resulting in awkward last-minute couples.

Chika is such an iconic character who stands well on her own and is engaging enough without a love interest, so not giving her a boyfriend would not at all detract from her arc - although it would be interesting if she was confirmed as an lgbtq+ character.
