In Chapter 256 we finally get to see Kaguya, who reveals her family took away her phone and placed her under house arrest. While she waits for her fate, unable to act and change it, she's visited by Mikado Shijo. Mikado tells her about their families' plans to marry them, and promises that, if he accepts, he will make her happy and keep her safe from her family.
At the same time, Mikado is honest about Miyuki's plans to save Kaguya and lets her make her own choice. Kaguya is moved that Mikado still honors the promise he made so long ago, to protect her from the Shinomiyas but decides to place her trust in Miyuki, believing only him can make her dreams come true. A heartbroken Mikado accepts her decision; it now remains to be seen if Miyuki will live up to the task Gan'an set for him!

Kaguya-Sama Love Is War Chapter 257 is going to be released on Friday, the 25th of March in Japan. In Europe, Canada, and the US, it will be available from the 24th of March onwards.
