In a clip posted on his verified Instagram account, the husband of Hailey Baldwin explained he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has left the “Yummy” singer unable to move half of his face and unable to take the stage.
In the video, Justin Bieber said the virus attacks the nerves in his ear and his facial nerves. Mayo Clinic stated that Ramsay Hunt syndrome “occurs when a shingle outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears. In addition to the painful shingles rash, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear.”

The mysterious viral syndrome is also being feared to become the very reason Justin’s career would end.

In a clip he posted on social media, Justin Bieber stated:
“As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face.”
Doctors interviewed by National Enquirer said Justin Bieber has a good reason to worry. Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a Florida-based expert, said:
“It’s entirely possible he won’t recover sufficiently – and if so – he won’t be able to sing the way he did before.”
The rare neurological condition, per National Enquirer, stems from the same virus that causes chicken pox and shingles. Dr. Gabe Mirkin noted:
“It’s up to 50 percent probable he’ll permanently have weak cheek muscles on one side of his face.”
New York-based internist Dr. Stuart Fischer agreed that long-term effects could negatively “affect his career.” An unidentified insider close to the situation shared:
“Justin’s distraught because he has no idea whether he’ll be able to sing like himself again.”
