As the series’ release nears, MAPPA revealed that a Jujutsu Kaisen voice actor is joining the highly anticipated Chainsaw Man anime series. This voice actor plays a certain fan favorite from Jujutsu Kaisen, and he will do the same in Chainsaw Man.

This new voice actor was announced alongside other members of the voice cast in a stage event during the first episode’s exclusive fan premiere in Tokyo, Japan.

The list of new voice actors was also shared on the series’ official Twitter account.

The voice actor is none other than Kenjiro Tsuda, the voice actor of Nanami Kento in Jujutsu Kaisen. In the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime, Tsuda voices Kishibe.

Much like Nanami, Kishibe is a favorite among fans for his serious personality and unassuming strength.

While his power may not be as flashy as the other Public Safety Devil Hunters, Kishibe is the strongest Devil Hunter according to Makima.

Chainsaw Man is an upcoming anime series by MAPPA, the same studio that animated Jujutsu Kaisen.

Given this, it’s no surprise to see them cast Tsuda as Kishibe, especially given the stoic and no-nonsense attitude of both characters.

The anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020. The series continued with Part 2 which began serialization in Jump+ last July.

The series is set in a world where Devils wreak havoc in the world. These Devils are born out of human fears, and they become stronger the more the concept they represent is feared.

Its story follows Denji, a young man who enters a contract with the devil Pochita on the brink of death.

This gives him the ability to transform into a human-devil hybrid with chainsaw abilities. Soon, he is recruited by the Japanese Government to become a Devil Hunter.

The new members of the voice cast were announced alongside a new trailer that also featured their voices. Check it out here:
