Is Camp Cretaceous Season 5 The Last Season?


Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) is said to be the final movie in the Jurassic film series (at least until the film passes the $1 billion dollar mark at the box office). However, the fifth season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will soon premiere on Netflix. But is Camp Cretaceous Season 5 the last season?

Camp Cretaceous Season 5 will continue the journey of Darius Bowman, Ben Pincus, Yasmina "Yaz" Fadoula, Brooklynn, Kenji Kon, and Sammy Gutierrez - six teens who became trapped on Isla Nublar during the collapse of Jurassic World.

Throughout the first four seasons of the animated show, we've watched the group survive dinosaurs in all shapes and sizes, while also uncovering sinister truths. The show even makes many references to the first five movies.

Their adventures have led them through the jungles of Isla Nublar - home to Jurassic Park and Jurassic World - and we've seen dinosaurs of all kinds, some from the movies, and others never before seen in this universe.

But is their Cretaceous adventure finally about to come to an end? In other words, can the showrunners justify a sixth season, having already stretched things quite thin across four seasons already?! Let's find out...

If you're a fan of the show, you'll be sad to know that, as promised in the trailer with the words "Every moment, every discovery, every escape... has led to this", Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has officially reached its final season.

Even the end of the trailer promises that this is the last one, which ties in nicely with the fact that Jurassic World: Dominion is the final film in the series. And as such, it would be wise to expect the two to cross over somehow.

With that said, Camp Cretaceous takes place four years before Jurassic World: Dominion, but it's rumored that the show will explain how Dominion's Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott) acquired the Barbasol shaving can from Isla Nublar.

However, while Camp Cretaceous is considered canon by the showrunners, it all rests on the shoulders of the fifth and final season...

So, is Camp Cretaceous Season 5 the last season? Yes, it is. But here's to hoping that we'll finally get that live-action Jurassic Park/Jurassic World TV series we've all been secretly waiting for.

Six teens invited to attend a state-of-the-art adventure camp on Isla Nublar must band together to survive when the dinosaurs break out of captivity.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous premiers on Netflix on July 21, 2022. It stars Paul-Mikél Williams (Darius Bowman), Sean Giambrone (Ben Pincus), Kausar Mohammed (Yasmina "Yaz" Fadoula), Jenna Ortega (Brooklynn), Ryan Potter (Kenji Kon), and Raini Rodriguez (Sammy Gutierrez).
