Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Final Season Trailer Arrives

There's a lot going on in the Jurassic World universe lately, whether it's the official Jurassic World: Dominion trailer, or a promo for the movie that unites the NBA's Toronto Raptors with actual raptors. But now, the trailer for the fifth and final season of the hit animated Netflix show Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has arrived. Hold onto your butts...

Check out the brand-new trailer for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous below:

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has been pretty popular with Jurassic Park/Jurassic World fans, but the upcoming season will mark the end of the series, which will likely come as a bit of a blow to many.

So far, we've seen stranded teenagers Darius, Ben, Yaz, Brooklynn, Kenji, and Sammy, who were all left behind during the Jurassic World disaster, survive Isla Nublar, the surrounding seas, and a prehistoric "biome" in an unknown region.

While it's hotly debated as to whether the show is considered canon by the Jurassic movies given how outlandish it is, the movies are absolutely canon within the show's own continuity.

Season 1 followed the events of Jurassic World (2015), and last year's Season 4 finally caught up with the events seen in the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) prologue, in which the Mosasaur is released from the Isla Nublar lagoon.

Now, the Season 5 trailer suggests that the characters will end up back on the original island, and in the "Restricted Zone" once again, as we're teased to raptors in the kitchen, as well as the iconic Barbasol can from the 1993 film.

Whether or not Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will deliver remains to be seen. While previous seasons have been entertaining, the show definitely lacks the edge of its live-action silver screen counterparts.

The new trailer, however, does tease that things could be a little darker this time around, but we'll just have to hold onto our butts until it's released on Netflix on July 21 this year, which will be a month after the release of Jurassic World: Dominion on June 10.
