The official Injustice 2 Twitter has teased a couple of images that pertain to the features in the game. And while some of these, such as the upgrades and the three-on-three battles are already known, the teaser of a massive roster has gotten some fans even more excited.
A new character may have been teased in the image, as the name Captain Cold suggests that he will have his own playable character in Injustice 2. NetherRealm Studios has not revealed all of the characters coming to the game, but the roster is supposed to top 2015's Injustice Gods Among Us, so this is hardly a surprise.
As for the mobile version of the game, WWG spotted an image teased for the Joker. Specifically, it's a duffel bag with gems, a time bomb, and the Joker's portrait. It's possible that this image suggests a prize bundle of sorts, with gems playing a big role as currency for Harley Quinn, as suggested by the bag's diamond designs.
This doesn't prove that Joker will be back for a second run in the sequel, seeing as he has clearly died in the original game. But more than the teaser's look is the fact that Joker is looking very different in this portrait. His creepy smile is still there, but the matching green hair is a lot longer than what we're used to.
One possibility that the report brings up is that it might be an alternate skin or alternate world Joker, which is the only way that he can show up in the new world.
