Hunter x Hunter: Killua Voice Actor Mariya Ise Addresses Manga's Return

We already know that new chapters of Hunter x Hunter are currently in the works, thanks to the regular updates from Yoshihiro Togashi. But what could we possibly expect when the manga returns? Mariya Ise has just addressed the possible storylines in the future. In addition to that, the Killua Zoldyck voice actor spoke about finding Togashi's posts on Twitter.

Mariya Ise has played a lot of great characters in numerous anime including Ray in The Promised Neverland, Reg in Made in Abyss, and Levy McGarden in Fairy Tail. However, most anime fans remember her best as Killua, the silver-haired assassin in Hunter x Hunter.

It's an awesome role and one that Ise is personally connected to, being a huge fan of the manga. While speaking to Crunchyroll, the Pokemon XY actor discussed what we could expect in the new Hunter x Hunter chapters. Interestingly, Ise pointed out that she had an idea but still believes we could be in for a surprise.

"Yes, I think so," Ise said when asked whether she knows what will happen next in Hunter x Hunter. "But at the same time, the Dark Continent arc is something that we don't really know how it goes. It could really go anywhere. So yeah, we're really waiting for information on that too."

Ise also admitted that she was initially wary of Togashi's Twitter account but eventually realized it was the real deal.

"At first, I didn't know if the account was genuine. But afterwards, some Jump manga creators who are close to Togashi-sensei got confirmation from him and we saw the tweets coming from those same creators. As soon as I found that it was the real deal: Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow," Ise said.

For now, the new Hunter x Hunter chapters have not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
