Hunter x Hunter: Yoshihiro Togashi Announces 4 New Chapters in the Works

It's official: Yoshihiro Togashi is back and is currently working on four new chapters of Hunter x Hunter! It's great news considering that the last chapter of the beloved manga was published back in 2018!

Earlier on Tuesday, a mysterious new Twitter account claiming to be Yoshihiro Togashi announced that they are working on four new chapters. Although fans were initially wary of the new account, fellow mangaka Yusuke Murata has since confirmed that it does belong to the Hunter x Hunter creator which means those four new chapters are very, very real.

This is indeed great news for fans who have been holding on to hope that Hunter x Hunter is not yet over. The manga's Volume 36 was published back in October 2018 and it is believed that Yoshihiro Togashi intends to publish more chapters before releasing the 37th volume. With that in mind, there's finally something to look forward to later this year or early in 2023.

Not surprisingly, fans are having meltdowns after learning that Togashi has returned and Hunter x Hunter is far from over.

Hunter x Hunter was first serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump back in 1998. The manga by Yoshihiro Togashi follows an orphan boy named Gon who learns his father Ging is still alive and has become a Hunter (guess he's not an orphan after all). The determined Gon sets out to become a Hunter like his father and befriends three other applicants while dealing with mysterious encounters with the transmuter named Hisoka.

For now, it is unclear when the new chapters of Hunter x Hunter will be released. However, it looks like Togashi has just started working so it might still be a long wait. Nevertheless, fans are already excited and we'll be waiting for another announcement soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
