Frieren Episode 13 Shows Frieren Blowing a Kiss to Sein
In Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 13, Frieren and her party are adamant about recruiting the priest Sein into their party.
Not only did they stay in the village somewhere in Alt Woods for quite a while, but they also pursued Sein every single day.
Stark even has to play a stripping game of poker with Sein and the village chief just to convince the priest to join their party but to no avail.
Even Sein’s older brother, the superior priest of the village, wants Sein to go with Frieren’s party and start adventuring.
Frieren’s party is in dire need of a priest like Heiter to avoid accidents, such as Stark being bitten by a poisonous snake while on their way to Aureole.
If it weren’t for Sein, Stark would be dead, as his brains would melt through his nose due to the poison.
Still, Sein is torn between abandoning his brother and finding his friend, who has been missing for almost a decade.
He was supposed to join his missing friend years ago, but he declined for the sake of his brother, who has taken care of him ever since he was young.
In a desperate attempt to convince Sein, Frieren pulls out her special weapon from her sleeve.
It’s not a magic grimoire or a magic potion, but a technique she rarely uses to get what she wants. It is tried and tested, but apparently, it can’t work all the time.
What’s this special weapon? Well, it’s Frieren’s flying kiss! She blows Sein a kiss after discovering that he is into older girls.
Frieren is a near-immortal elven mage who has lived a millennium, so it's only fitting for her to seduce Sein in the only way she knows.
Does Frieren Give Himmel a Kiss?
In every rom-com anime, we usually find a male protagonist being knocked off by a kiss from his love interest. It’s usually a running gag in a lot of classic anime, and it still is to this day.
While Frieren is not a rom-com anime, it has a lot of gag moments, including Frieren blowing a kiss to seduce Sein in her attempt to recruit him for the party.
During Frieren’s time with the Hero’s Party, she often blows a kiss to Himmel to get what she wants.
As a result, Himmel collapses due to the power Frieren’s flying kiss holds. It looks like the hero Himmel’s weakness lies in Frieren’s flying kiss, so the demon King needs to learn a thing or two from the elven mage.
Of course, Frieren’s flying kiss only works on those whose hearts she captivates.
We know how Himmel was into Frieren back in the day, so it’s obvious that Frieren’s flying kiss had a significant yet funny impact on Himmel.
It will not be surprising if, one of these days, we get a flashback where we see Himmel’s nose bleed like Sanji's in One Piece.
Truly, Frieren is a force to be reckoned with, but she needs to learn that it will not work for everyone all the time.
