Florence Pugh & Letitia Wright's Avengers Roles Teased by Ant-Man 3 Writer

Marvel Phase 4 introduced plenty more MCU heroes who will potentially become a part of the new Avengers team. However, as of now that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opened the new MCU phase, we have yet to find out on which six heroes will lead the rest of the team. Ant-Man 3 writer, Jeff Loveness, who is also writing for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, reveals the major roles for two more MCU supers.

“I can’t say specifically [the characters involved in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty]. I think I’d get in trouble. I gotta get better at talking to the internet.” Loveness told in a recent interview on the Phase Zero podcast, “But just, characters that we like, I mean, I think we’re excited for the actors more than even the characters right now. Because we have this really good crop of performers.”

The Ant-Man 3 writer continues on to mention a couple of familiar names, “We got Florence Pugh, and Jonathan Majors, and Letitia Wright. We’ve got such a deep bench of really good actors. Everybody’s gonna get their chance to shine. I can’t say who. I can’t say WHEN they will shine. But I think it’s fun to finally put everybody into the game.”

We couldn’t agree more, especially since Florence Pugh’s Yelena has shown off what she’s made of in Black Widow and the Hawkeye series, and now, on her way to even lead Marvel’s Thunderbolts. With Letitia Wright taking over the mantle of becoming the new Black Panther, we’ll get to see more action from her when the Avengers film comes. That is, if Loveness does confirm their involvement in the film. It’s hard to say that they aren’t, though.

These new phase heroes are going up against Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) and his Council of Kangs, so it’s crucial that Loveness chooses wisely on which ensemble would be able to completely defeat the new big bad of the MCU.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently slated to premiere on May 2, 2025. In the meantime, you can catch up on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania now showing in theaters.
