We still do not know much about the plot of Dune: The Sisterhood, but we have some information about the show. The released description for the series is as follows:

Set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: The Sisterhood follows the Harkonnen Sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit.

The series will introduce us to the Bene Gesserit as we follow the Harkonnen Sisters. The Bene Gesserit is a mysterious organization shrouded by secrets, a quasi-magical order made up of only women. The members of the Bene Gesserit each possess unique mental and physical skills they use to help maintain order and stability in humanity. The Bene Gesserit strategically places its members in various influential and powerful positions across different planets in the universe. These members gently guide society in the direction that is most beneficial for the Bene Gesserit.

Deadline describe the Bene Gesserit as:

the Bene Gesserit expertly weave through the feudal politics and intrigue of The Imperium, pursuing plans of their own that will ultimately lead them to the enigmatic planet Arrakis — known to its inhabitants as Dune

In the Dune novels, the Bene Gesserit gained power after the Butlerian Jihad when the human rose and overthrew an over-controlling artificial intelligence.
