John Wick: Chapter 4 Release Date: When Will the Fourth John Wick Movie Come Out?
John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to come out in theaters on March 24, 2023. The movie was initially scheduled to premiere by May 2022, debuting within the same year as another hit Keanu Reeves movie, The Matrix Resurrections, but scheduling conflicts and the COVID-19 pandemic may have affected production.
When Did John Wick: Chapter 4 Start Filming?
The production for John Wick: Chapter 4 started on June 28, 2021, and ended by October 27, 2021. Principal photography was taken in various locations worldwide, starting in Berlin and Paris. After filming wrapped up in the first two locations, shooting continued in locations around Japan and New York.

Keanu Reeves is John Wick
There can only be one John Wick, and that can only be Keanu Reeves.
Reeves has played the character of John Wick for all of the movies in the franchise, starting with the first film that came out in 2014. Wick is a former hitman who was forced back into the life he left when a group of reckless young gangsters stole his car and killed his dog a few days after the death of his wife.
The Rest of the John Wick Cast
Keanu Reeves will be joined by stellar actors who will complete the cast of John Wick: Chapter 4.
We will see Donnie Yen as Cain, Bill Skarsgård as Marquiz, Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu. The other actors in the film are Shamier Anderson, who will play Tracker, and Lance Reddick, who will play as Charon. The film includes Rina Sawayama as Akira, Scott Adkins as Killa, Ian McShane as Winston, Marko Zaror as Chidi, and Natalia Tena as Katia.
The latest addition to the cast is Clancy Brown.
Ip Man star Donnie Yen recently spoke with Collider, where he talked about his experience working with the cast and crew of John Wick: Chapter 4.
I have to take this opportunity [to show] my utmost appreciation for both Chad and Keanu. They're lovely men. They're just gentleman, they've got big hearts. Keanu has a wonderful soul. Chad also, a very good man. Very knowledgeable. People think he's just a brilliant action guy, he's not. He understands film. He's a film librarian. He knows what's going on. I'm just having the best time working with them than any of my previous Hollywood movies...[Reeves] is just great. He's more than I expected. The guy does everything himself. He put in the hours, he put in the work. He can do it. He's no joke.

Jonh Wick: Chapter 4 is directed by Chad Stahelski. The film and characters are based on the creations of Derek Kolstad, and Michael Finch and Shay Hatten are the writers credited for the film.
John Wick: Chapter 4 Will Be the Longest One Yet
When Stahelski spoke with Collider to promote Day Shift, he also talked about John Wick Chapter 4. He confirmed that the film was already deep in post-production and that it will be the longest film in the franchise so far.
It's longer than the other three, but not that long. We're on the final stretch for picture lock, and then we have our VFX music. But this is the furthest along I've ever been, this much in post. We love the music that we've got so far. We still have Tyler Bates doing the composition on some of the bigger sequences. VFX are going to be coming in throughout the rest of the year. But we're dangerously close. In our edit, as far as our picture lock goes, we're within a few minutes of locking. Our sequences are done. The movie is essentially done. There's probably another few weeks of tweaking overall, then we lock picture, and we're about music sound and the effects.

In an interview with IndieWire, John Wick director Chad Stahelsi talks about how John Wick will not have a happy ending in sight.
John may survive all this shit, but at the end of it, there's no happy ending. He's got nowhere to go. Honestly, I challenge you right now, here's a question to you: How do you fucking want me to end it? Do you think he's going to ride off into the fucking sunset? He's killed 300 fucking people and he's just going to [walk away], everything's okay? He's just going to fall in love with a love interest? If you're this fucking guy, if this guy really exist[ed], how is this guy's day going to end? He's fucked for the rest of his life. It's just a matter of time.
When Laurence Fishburne sat down for an interview with Collider, he shared how the fourth movie will teach us more about the lore of John Wick's world.
I read the script. It's really, really cool. As much as it's the same world as the other three films, it's just deeper. It's much deeper in terms of the code of the assassin and the relationship that he has with one character in particular...is really the heart and soul of it.

Yes, there will be a fifth John Wick movie. Lionsgate announced that John Wick: Chapter 5 was in development back in August 2020. The movie was originally set to be filmed back-to-back with John Wick: Chapter 4, the plan did not push through and was officially scrapped by March 2021.
