Did Hawkeye Set Up The New Tony Stark For The Young Avengers?

Hawkeye has been a really successful Marvel show in almost all aspects and one of which is setting up the future of the franchise while concluding the Ronin arc of Clint Barton. It also introduced a handful of characters and with the Young Avengers being one of the theories of many fans, the series may have finally teased a new Tony Stark for them, but not in terms of being a superhero, though, but more of a financer for the team.

Jack Duquesne has been introduced in the series as the fiancé of Eleanor Bishop and has been framed to being the one to take the fall should her alliance with Kingpin fail. Jack’s engagement was so abrupt that tension immediately rose between him and Kate and he has been a suspicious character since the start considering his actions. However, he was just a red herring all the time as it was Eleanor who was behind it all.

Jack is a wealthy man, that is for sure, belonging to a powerful family, Duquesne. Their fortune speaks for itself. What makes Jack special is his interest in being a swordsman and how good he is at it. He proved it in the series when he had a little fencing practice with Kate and in the finale where he saved and helped Kate with the hundreds of the Tracksuit mafia members coming in at her.

In the comics, Jack Duquesne is known to be the Swordsman. Hawkeye and Swordsman did not have such a fond memory together and the latter was a hero and a villain throughout the years.

Wiccan and Speed has been named in WandaVision already and though they may have perished along with Westview, they could still appear in the future considering the post-credits scene of the series. Patriot, grandson of Isaiah Bradley, already debuted as well in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Cassie Lang has long been in the MCU and in the comics, she takes on the moniker of Stature, and given her character being recast, her story might be built up as well in the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp 3: Quantumania.

Miss America is about to arrive in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Iron Lad may have already been teased in Loki as his older version, He Who Remains, said that other variants of him may show up in the future. Kid Loki already made an impressive appearance in Loki, too.

While there is no younger Vision yet, it is possible that the newly introduced White Vision in WandaVision may take up the role. Hulkling has not appeared yet but with the Secret Invasion being adapted into a series, he might as well show up in the future. Marvel Boy, a Kree warrior, may also arrive since the Kree race has already been established. And lastly, Prodigy, a mutant, may come into the MCU once the X-Men comes in.

Where does Jack Duquesne fit? Well, he might not be as heroic as Tony Stark but he could be the financer of the Young Avengers especially with Kate being involved in it. In the finale, he showed how much he cares for his would-be stepdaughter. Considering his wealth, it will not be a problem for him, too.
