The death of the previous upper moon four paved the way for a new one to ascend. She is Nakime, who’s closing in with the demon slayers in the Hashira Training Arc. Armed with unrivaled blood demon art, here are five times the upper moon four demon challenged the demon slayers in the Infinity Castle Arc.
The former upper moon four, Hantengu, met his demise in the Swordsmith Village Arc, where he fought against Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, and Mitsuri Kanroji.
With his post empty, Muzan assigned Nakime as the new upper rank four demon.

Nakime’s Eye Ball Familiars Exposed Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s Location
The upper moon four started her schemes against the demon slayers during the Hashira Training Arc, where everyone, including the remaining hashira, is busy training for the impending war against Muzan and his demon forces.
Nakime, on the other hand, sends her eyeball familiars to track the location as well as the hideout of the demon slayers.
As shown in the third episode of Demon Slayer season 4, Nakime has creepy eyeball crawlers monitoring nearly all demon slayers at long range.
She was not only successful in determining their whereabouts, but she was also able to expose the location of Oyakata-sama or Kagaya Ubuyashiki, much to Muzan’s delight.
Nakime Controls the Infinity Castle’s Layout
It is not a secret that the upper rank four demon is responsible for the mystery behind the operations of the Infinity Castle as part of her blood demon art.
Nakime’s primary function is to manage the layout and operations of the Infinity Castle, shifting rooms, creating walls, opening or closing pathways, and so on by strumming her wooden biwa to the advantage of the demons.
Nakime has complete dominion over the Infinity Castle, and she uses the environment for offensive and defensive maneuvers to isolate, trap, and crush her opponents.
Nakime Separates the Demon Slayers from Each Other
When the Demon Slayer Corps arrived at the Ubuyashiki Mansion, the upper-moon four suddenly transported them to the Infinity Castle, where she separated them from one another.
The demon slayers thought that they could corner Muzan and kill him for good, but Nakime intervened and sent them to the Infinity Castle, where the peculiar environment confused them all.
There, the demon slayers face Muzan’s remaining upper moons, including Kokushibo, Doma, and Akaza, while Nakime sits at the center of the castle.
Nakime Fights Two Hashira at Once
At some point in the Infinity Castle Arc, the upper moon demon has to deal with two hashira at the same time to defend her position.
She faces the Serpent Hashira, Obanai, and the Love Hashira, Mitsuri, clearly overwhelming them with her skills and abilities.
Nakime has immense speed, so she was able to evade Obanai and Mitsuri's attacks, resulting in the demon slayers’ difficult time laying a scratch on her.
She was also able to hold them off for quite a while, thanks to her blood demon art.
Nakime Becomes Muzan’s Last Surviving Demon Moon
The upper rank four demon, rather than the upper rank one demon, was the last to die, thanks to Yushiro, who has entirely taken over her vision and authority over the Infinity Castle.
She was so valuable to Muzan that the demon king attempted to reclaim her in a fight of mental will.
As the struggle drags on, Muzan quickly picks up that killing Nakime is better than allowing Yushiro to use her against him.
This was the end of Nakime, as Muzan chose to crush her head, removing her from the battle between the demons and the slayers.
