A lot of fans are looking forward to Deadpool 3 not only because it will feature the MCU debut of Ryan Reynolds' titular mercenary, but it will also bring back Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and other characters from the past Fox Marvel movies including Jennifer Garner's Elektra.

So far, the plot details for the threequel remain under wraps except that it will involve the multiverse. There have also been rumors roaming around surrounding the different worlds that Deadpool and Wolverine will explore.

One of the characters that have been rumored to appear in the film is Ian McKellen's Magneto. While his casting has not been confirmed yet by Marvel Studios, there have been reports that suggest that it is likely to be true.

If McKellen's Magneto and the other Fox X-Men actors do return in the film, what kind of role will they play in the story? Will he become an ally or the villain once again?

Now, a new report has shed some light on his rumored appearance.

A recent report from The Cosmis Circus claimed that McKellen's Magneto is set to appear in Deadpool 3 as one of the individuals that took over the Illuminati in Earth-838 after the death of the past members in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

They alleged that the film will establish that he has a father-daughter relationship with the Earth-838 variant of Wanda Maximoff although it is unknown yet if he is the biological father.

According to the sources that were cited in the report, Marvel Studios has an interest to explore Earth-838 after the events of the Doctor Strange sequel which is why the upcoming film will return to that world and potentially set up more projects around that setting.

When we see Earth-838 again, the Illuminati is going to be led by individuals that are related to the deceased members and they are seeking to retaliate against Earth-616's Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff, whose previous actions left a massive power vacuum that threw them into disarray.

This is certainly interesting information about what we could witness in Deadpool 3 since it is looking like they are indeed going to lean a lot toward the multiverse aspect and McKellen's Magneto is one of the examples of how they are going to explore it.
