Chainsaw Man to Stream on Crunchyroll Worldwide, But There's a Catch


Chainsaw Man is coming to Crunchyroll. The highly anticipated anime based on the Tatsuki Fujimoto manga has been confirmed to be simulcast on the streaming service later this year and will be available worldwide. However, there are some territories that will not be able to watch the show on the service!

Crunchyroll has officially announced that Chainsaw Man will be simulcast on most of the service's territories when the anime finally gets released this year. In addition to that, there will be additional dubs for the upcoming series to include English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German.

So what's the catch? Chainsaw Man will not be simulcast in Crunchyroll's Asian territories. However, fans based in Asia may still be able to watch the anime on other services. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

But when exactly will Chainsaw Man start streaming on Crunchyroll? The anime has not yet been given an official release date but is believed to premiere sometime in October.

Chainsaw Man is based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto and follows Denji, a young man living in poverty and working off his deceased father's debt to the yakuza by working as a devil hunter. He is aided by Pochita, his canine companion and Chainsaw Devil. But when Denji is betrayed by the Yakuza and left for dead, he merges with Pochita and becomes a human-devil Hybrid. After Denji massacres the yakuza, he is approached by Makima who convinces him to join a team of governmental devil hunters known as the Public Safety Division.

For now, Chainsaw Man has not yet been given an official release date. However, the anime is already expected to premiere in October 2022 and will consist of about 24 episodes which will be split over two cours. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
