Chainsaw Man Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto Announces Explosive New Manga

There is little doubt that fans are already looking forward to the Chainsaw Man anime this year but it looks like Tatsuki Fujimoto is already working on a completely new project. The mangaka has confirmed that he is currently hard at work on a new manga that will focus on a femme fatale!

The news comes from a recent exhibition on Tatsuki Fujimoto's works which include Chainsaw Man, Look Back, and Fire Punch. In the exhibit, an excerpt from an interview with Fujimoto confirms that the mangaka is now working on a manga with the theme "Femme Fatale." Fujimoto states that he has always liked the idea of women who destroy everything in their path. However, he also admits that there is still much to be done in the new title and he still has plenty of pages to draw.

For Chainsaw Man fans, this isn't a huge surprise considering that Fujimoto has always expressed his admiration for strong (albeit domineering) women and it is obvious in all his works. But could this be a sequel to Chainsaw Man? Although some are hoping that the new manga is a follow-up to Fujimoto's most famous work, there is a huge chance that he is working on a completely new project.

It's pretty clear that Fujimoto is currently on a roll. His latest title Look Back has been selling thousands of copies and Chainsaw Man continues to be a roaring success, dominating the NPD BookScan's Top 20 adult graphic novels list for February 2022. In addition to that, the manga's anime adaptation is expected to drop this year.

For now, the Chainsaw Man anime has not yet been given an official release date. Likewise, Fujimoto's new manga has not yet been officially announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
