Here's What Happened Before Chainsaw Man Chapter 123
In Chapter 122 of Chainsaw Man, Yoshida surprises us by meeting the Famine Devil at a coffee shop.
At this point, it seems that treating devils is his preferred method of achieving whatever his mysterious motivation is.
Yoshida questions the Famine Devil (known as Fami) because of a Nostradamus prophecy about a terrible evil that would be unleashed on July 1999 with the potential to end humanity.
To find out more, Public Safety offered 30 convicts their freedom in exchange for a contract with the Future Devil. The convicts then had to ask the devil when they were going to die.
23 out of the 30 were told that they were going to die on July 1999, therefore confirming that something would go seriously wrong then.
Fami tells Yoshida that the other seven will die on that very day, as the first of the devils who will lead the world to the predicted apocalyptic terror has just shown up.
Before Fami can reveal the devil's name, we move to a different scene, where a man tells his partner about his promotion.
In a major mood whiplash, the couple who had been making plans about their shared future seconds ago decide that they should die, proceeding to fall from their balcony.
The same happens to all the tenants in their block, right where Asa/Yoru is standing. Their corpses merge to create a headless, many-armed devil.
Upon seeing this, Yoru, who was previously ready to fight, decides to run away instead.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 123 is expected to come out on March 14, 2023, in regions such as the US, the UK, and Europe. In Japan, Chapter 123 will come out on March 15, 2023.
This release date is visible on the VIZ app and hopefully will not change, although Chainsaw Man chapters were delayed in previous weeks.

A preview for Chainsaw Man Chapter 123 isn't available yet. However, reported leaks on Reddit suggest that the new, terrifying devil will injure Asa and that Yoru will call the devil her eldest sister.
If this were true, the new enemy would be confirmed as the Death Devil.
Further reported spoilers claim that Seigi, one of the Devil Hunting Club members, will turn out to be the Chainsaw Man impostor.
Personally, I would take the above with a grain of salt, as no raw scans are available yet.
In previous weeks, some Chainsaw Man scripts and summaries leaked ahead of a chapter's release.
Originally, these proved to be accurate, but this no longer seems to be the case.
Many of the newest spoilers turned out to be wrong, so we can't be sure if we are dealing with actual leaks or fan predictions dressed as such.

Chapter 122 of Chainsaw Man revealed a new devil, but who is she? Fami mentioned her using female pronouns, so could she be the Death Devil -- the only one among the Four Horsemen we've yet to see?
Since Chainsaw Man Part 2 changed the focus from Denji to Asa, we have read a relatively subdued story compared to the explosive action we were used to.
But now, the potential for action and devastation is taking apocalyptic proportions once more, and Denji can't be missing from the action.
