Disney is cashing in big time on the sudden resurgence of the Star Wars franchise thanks to The Mandalorian which pretty much reinvigorated the entire universe. Now, aside from the slew of projects hitting Disney+ which are all set in the Mandoverse timeline, fans are also excited for the return of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character Cassian Andor in his own standalone series.

In case you haven't heard yet, it was officially confirmed last December during Disney's epic Investor Day presentation that Diego Luna will reprise his role as the famed Rebel Alliance spy in Andor. The series takes place five years before the events of Rogue one and will follow Cassian's adventures during the early days of the Galactic Civil War.

Of course, considering the series' plot, we can all expect to see some familiar locations and faces turn up in the show. However, as it stands, we still don't have any idea regarding the project's official cast but it's safe to assume that at least someone like K-2SO will be making an appearance on the show.

Now, a set photo from the series seems to indicate that a familiar foe will be making his presence felt in the show. Twitter user and Star Wars geek @davidintheforc1 posted an image taken from the series' production in London and it confirms that Andor will be shooting scenes in the famous Canary Wharf tube station which was previously featured in Rogue One.

Interestingly, if you'll zoom in closer to the image, a person who seems to be donning a uniform similar to what Director Orson Callan Krennic wears can also be seen. Now, we don't want to get your hopes up this early but the devious Rogue One villain could in fact play a major role in the series.

This series definitely opens the door for more spin-off shows to come our way in the future and boy, I gotta say, the future (or technically "the past") of the entire Star Wars franchise totally excites me. Who knows which other characters will get their own series somewhere down the line?

Andor hits Disney+ in 2022.
