Isekai fans have been waiting for nearly a month now for the Butareba finale. It won’t be long now though, as Butareba Episode 12 has finally confirmed its February release date after a broadcast delay.
The finale’s new release date was revealed on the show’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, and it follows the previous delay announcement.
In late December, it was announced that the Butareba anime’s last episode had been delayed until after January 2024. Thankfully for fans, it won’t get another delay.
Butareba: One of the Few Delayed Fall 23 Shows
The start of 2023 was not one to remember for anime fans, as it featured numerous delays for shows such as NieR: Automata Ver1.1a.
The next couple of seasons weren’t as badly affected by delays, though there were still some high-profile shows like Zom 100 that got delayed until much later.
During the Fall 23 season, most of the popular titles did not get any major delays. One of the few exceptions is Butareba, which suffered from two broadcast date changes.
First, there was the anime’s ninth episode, which was moved back by one week. This was done to keep the animation quality high.
The show’s next couple of episodes then aired with no changes. That was until the 11th episode, which aired on December 24.
Following the broadcast, Butareba announced that its finale would be delayed until after January 2024 due to programming issues.
There were no other specific details mentioned, though considering how the New Year holiday period is a busy one for TV networks, it’s not too surprising that the show’s finale was moved.

Butareba Episode 12 Finally Reveals February Release Date
Given the wording of the initial delay reveal, some hoped that the 12th episode would be released in February. Thankfully, that proved to be the case as Butareba Episode 12 is now set to be released on February 5.
In Japan, the first season’s finale will air on the 5th on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Yomiuri TV, and BS11. Other networks will air the episode between February 6 to 10.
As for its international release, the 12th episode will likely be available to stream on Crunchyroll shortly after its Japanese TV broadcast.
