Fans come into BTS’s Jungkook’s defense as dating rumors surround the latter after being spotted with his alleged girlfriend on Jeju Island.

An online post revealed Jungkook was on a date on Jeju Island, where Taehyung and BLACKPINK’s Jennie had also been rumored to be dating before. So, is it true?

The Dating Rumors Surrounding Jungkook

A netizen made a post on Nate Pann Thursday, January 5, titled Jungkook was seen being on a date on Jeju Island. Taehyung and Jennie's date location last year...

The post featured a photo of the idol sitting with a woman in a restaurant. The poster claimed the lady he was with was his alleged girlfriend.

“Jungkook found love,” the caption read.

Many didn’t buy the post and defended Jungkook against the malicious claim.

The Truth about Jungkook’s Photo

According to AllKpop, the photo in question was an old one from the past.

It was also confirmed that though he was on Jeju Island at the time, he was with a group of friends.

In addition, the restaurant owner cleared that the woman beside Jungkook was a female staff employee who worked with him and not his girlfriend.

Debunking Dating Rumors about Jungkook

Of course, many come to Jungkook’s rescue, knowing the rumors aren’t true at all.

“This was when he went with his friends, and he even left his signature; this r***d brought up an old photo to stir up drama. Leave BTS alone and live your life," one fan said.

“This was already revealed that Jungkook went there with his acquaintances and even left a signature. The restaurant owner even shared his story, and this person is bringing up a photo from a few months ago, this is just a commotion created by akgaes," another added.

"This was from last year, and everyone knows about this already that he went with his acquaintances. He even left his signature there. People were attacking Taehyung before, but now they moved on to Jungkook?" a netizen claimed.

Jungkook’s Past Dating Rumors

It wasn’t the first time that Jungkook got involved in dating rumors. In 2019, he was even harassed due to dating speculations after a CCTV footage revealed he was hugging a female tattoo artist in Geojedo, South Korea. He even had a temporary tattoo with the initials “MJ” at the time.

Fans also harassed the rapper Hash Swan for being Jungkook’s lookalike. So, to stop the worsening issue, BigHit Entertainment broke its silence and dismissed the claims.

"The now circulating dating rumors regarding our artist Jungkook is absolutely not true. During his visit to Geojedo, he realized his circle of tattooist acquaintances was also visiting there, so he hung out with them," it said, per Pinkvilla.

"We are sorry that his private life during his extended break had to be distorted like this,” it continued. “We are currently investigating whether or not the picture was taken illegally, and will take strict legal action accordingly. In addition, spreading of false information to defame our artist will also face strict legal consequences.”

Of course, fans also defended Jungkook at the time.
