The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga series may be taking an extended hiatus this month, but Shueisha's V-Jump magazine has already shared a card preview for the highly-anticipated chapter coming next month.
Boruto Chapter 71 was released in June 2022, but fans will have to wait until August 20 before Chapter 72 comes out. The Japanese magazine shared the preview card teasing: "Code gang is now separated! Amado and the others head back to Konoha...!"
As expected, this preview doesn't reveal much about how Amado and Ada's return (alongside Daemon) to Konoha will unfold. The previous chapter already revealed that Amado has an ultimate goal, and Kawaki is an important part of it. The former Kara scientist told Ada that he will reveal what the goal is when they return to Konoha, where Ada hopes to be with Kawaki.
There's also a question of what Code will do next The powerful villain will likely return to Konoha as well to enact his revenge against Kawaki and achieve his goal to cultivate a Chakra fruit, but now that his limiters are apparently rescinded by Amado, are we finally going to see the full potential of his powers?
Although a timeskip is not expected to happen in the upcoming chapter, it's likely that we will see major plot developments unfold with Amado and the gang's return. How will Naruto, Boruto, Kawaki, and the other shinobi of Konoha react to their return? What will Amado reveal? Why is Kawaki important to him? There's a good chance that we will have some of these questions answered in Chapter 72.
