Code and Eida managed to accomplish their mission when they infiltrated Konohagakure: kidnap the former Kara scientist Amado so that Code can have his limiters rescinded in order to unlock his full power.

The final scene of Chapter 70 showed Amado apparently removing the limiters off Code, and as the villain floats, he says that he feels like he can't lose to anyone. However, now that Code already used Amado for this purpose, he intended to kill him. Code raised his claw, preparing to kill Amado, but before we get to see what happened next, the chapter cut to an end.

Chapter 71 is expected to reveal if Amado actually survived Code's attack. If the scientist manages to survive, it's likely that the chapter will make a major revelation about him. There's already a theory that claims that Amado is actually a villain, and we've already seen hints supporting this theory. The latest chapter might also reveal if Eida is actually the daughter of Amado, or modeled after her.

Update: Major spoilers for Boruto Chapter 71 have already been leaked, revealing that Daemon interferes Code's attempt to kill Amado. According to spoiler details leaked online, Daemon and Eida turn against Code, and Daemon begins fighting Code. Bug says that Daemon only needs his palm to touch an enemy in order to reflect attacks.

Update: Now that Boruto Chapter 71 is out, here are major spoiler details:

Just before Code is about to give the finishing blow on Amado with his claw, Amado tells Ada that he has something to say about Kawaki. Code stops the attack, and Eida asks what about Kawaki. Amado tells her that Kawaki is the "Ace up my sleeve".

Eida asks Amado what he means, and Code says that Amado is just stalling for time. Eida tells Code not to interrupt because she's talking to him. Code says that this is stupid, and asks Eida if she's going to buy Amado's mutterings. Code says that Amado is also in his Retribution List.

Then, suddenly, Eida calls Daemon, and her brother stops Code from killing Amado. Code notices that his intent to kill is being reflected. Eida asks Code if he intended to kill her little brother, and Code says that it's a horrible accusation considering that she was the one who fired the first shot.

Eida tells Code that she warned him before, that if he becomes a hindrance to them, she'll have to dispose of him. Amado tells Code that Eida has an invitation from Konoha now to get close to Kawaki, and if she associates with Code, they will ruin their chances.

Code tells Amado to shut it, saying that he's trying to trick Eida and "throw him into the wolves", but it's not going to work. Amado says that he's just stating the truth. Code tries to attack Amado again, but Daemon stops him again. Daemon asks Code if he's stupid, and if big sis says, "don't", he should stop doing it.

Meanwhile, in Konoha, Shikimaru explains to Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto about Eida's enchanting powers. He explains that Amado mentioned that there are several androids that surpassed Jigen's power, and Eida is one of them, but Eida is not the only companion of Code.

Shikimaru explains that Code summoned someone else to protect himself when he was cornered, and that he's certain that there's at least one other enemy cyborg.

Back to the Kara hideout: Code tells Eida that Daemon is acting weird, and that she should do something. Eida tells Code that she's grateful for freeing her, and that's why she helped him regain his power. She says to call it a day for now, and that they should end this.

Code asks Eida if she's kidding, tells her that he loves her from the bottom of his heart, and asks her if she still needs his power. Eida says, "No, thanks. I don't care for your self-serving attitude. Whether your feelings or real or not, I've had enough."

Daemon says that he will protect big sis against anyone, and Code says that Eida only needs one knight - him. Amado, Daemon, and Eida look surprised to hear what Code said. Eida says that Code is creeping her out.

Code tells Daemon that they should once and for all clear up who the real hindrance is. Bug tells Code to beware of Daemon's palms, explaining that "it's only when he's touching others with his hands that actions get reflected".

Eida calls Bug a jerk. Eida could read Bug's thoughts on why he informed Code: Bug thinks that this is the best case because they might end up destroying each other.

Code tries to attack Daemon with his claw, but Daemon evades, and he tells Code about what he said earlier, about not being able to lose anyone. Daemon says it's hilarious that Code said that.

Daemon attacks Code, but he's able to teleport with his Claw Mark. Code appears behind Daemon, and tries to attack him with his claw, and Daemon counters it with a kick to his face, throwing Code to the wall. Daemon says that Code seems stronger than Jigen, so neither Hokage nor Uchiha should be trouble to him. Daemon says that second or third doesn't matter to the number one - him.

Code teleports close to Bug, and Eida asks if he's running away, and that she won't chase him as long as he doesn't get on their way. Eida warns him that she can see everything, so she can kill him, if warranted. Code tells them that he has a mission to cultivate a divine tree and obtain its chakra fruit to become a new Ohtsutsuki, and that once he becomes one, Eida's ability will no longer have an effect on him.

Daemon rushes to attack Code again but he's able to telport away with Bug. Daemon calls Code a crazy psycho.

Eida tells Amado that not only was he able to survive that crisis, he was also able to separate her and Code as well. Amado asks Eida if she thought that it was a great chance to cut Code off. Eida says that she just wants to hear the rest of his story, and she won't have a problem killing him if that turned out to be a bluff.

Amado says that Kawaki is the Ace up his sleeve, and that it's not a bluff. Daemon rides on top of Amado, and Eida tells the scientist that her brother is itching to kill him if he doesn't start explaining.

Amado explains that Kawaki has regained Karma and simultaneously inherited Isshiki's abilities, so his power is likely to keep growing, and he says that as of right now, there's no one in Konoha who can oppose Kawaki's power, including the Hokage, except for him.

Eida asks if Amado planted something else inside of Kawaki, and he says that he planted a unique emergency shutdown command code that only he can use. Amado went on to say that it's Konoha's job to manage Kawaki, but this concerns other villages too, so this means that they have no choice but to rely on him.

Eida asks why Amado didn't put a stop function on him to begin with, and Amado says that Jigen forbade it. To Jigen, implanting such a function in his precious vessel was unacceptable. Amado says that the shutdown function is just insurance to protect his standing in the village. However, his real objective is different, and that Kawaki's Karma is necessary to achieve it.

Eida tells Amado to spill or she'll kill him. Amado says that he'll talk but it's a long story, and it's something that he'll need to tell Konoha as well. Amado asks Eida if she can wait until they get there. This could possilbly confirm the theory that claims that Amado is actually a villain.

Amado tells her that she should accept Shikimaru's offer, so she could move to Konoha and build a relationship with Kawaki. Amado says not to worry about Daemon because he will mediate, and he'll tell them about Daemon too.

Code and bug are by Konoha's head statues, and Bug asks Code why he brought him there. Code says that he rescued him, and it's better than leaving him there to die. Code says that it's Kawaki's fault from beginning to end, and asks how he ended up as a legitimate vessel, and why it couldn't have been him. Code says that Eida has taken everything from him. Code says that he'll kill Kawaki, the Hokage, his friends, and the Konoha village.
