Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is originally a manga by Masashi Kishimoto and Ukyo Kodachi before it was adapted into an anime. This gives supporters of the show another medium to know what happens next in the story. But when are new chapters of the Boruto manga released? Here's the release schedule explained.

Normally, new manga chapters are released every week. But there are some, like Dragon Ball Super, that release monthly. Either way, dedicated manga readers will tune in to a new chapter once it is released.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a spin-off sequel to the Naruto series. It focuses on the journey of Naruto’s son, named Boruto Uzumaki and his new team.

The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga is released once a month. Unfortunately, the monthly release date is not fixed, although it is usually around the 20th.

In April, the chapter was released on the 20th, while in May, the chapter was available by May 19. To get the exact release date per month, it is best to tune in on Shonen Jump or Viz Media.

The latter platform offers free chapters for viewing but only the first three and latest three chapters. Manga readers have the option to become members and have access to the full platform, including having a chance to check its manga library.

The choice will depend on the preference of the person. Each medium has an advantage that the other does not have.

For example, the manga has better power scaling, higher stakes in terms of the plot, and is more consistent since it is the original medium.

On the other hand, the anime has more side characters, better fight scenes, and is released weekly.

Boruto fans can read the manga and watch the anime if they wish to, but those who prefer to choose one platform will have to weigh the pros and cons of each content type.

The anime tries to stick to the manga like a mirror which is a good thing. There might be differences between the two but the same impact and main arc story are delivered.
