Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War’s first cour ended with an hour-long special, and now, the second cour just got a release date. Following the first cour's finale, it was announced that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 will be released in July 2023.

The Fall 2022 anime season saw lots of highly anticipated shows, and one of them is Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.
As the long-awaited return of Bleach, many series fans were eager for its return given how it will finally give the anime a proper ending.
When the Bleach anime ended its run nearly a decade ago, it did not cover the manga’s final arc. This meant the anime did not have a proper conclusion.
But now, fans can look forward to seeing the series’ proper ending animated, but it will take a while.
The Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) arc is one of the manga’s longest arcs, so it should come as no surprise that the latest Bleach anime series will be four cours in length.
Unlike the previous anime which had a continuous run similar to Naruto and One Piece, TYBW has a seasonal schedule, with each cour being released during a particular season.
There are also breaks in between each cour, not unlike the split-cour release of shows like Spy x Family or Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
Currently, there’s no official episode count for the series yet. Though given that the first cour has 13 episodes, many believe that TYBW will have 52 episodes in total.

Bleach: TYBW Part 2 Release Date, Episode Count
While split-cour shows typically only have a season-long gap (or three months), fans will have to wait a bit longer for the second cour of TYBW.
As revealed following the Part 1 finale, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 will premiere in July 2023.
There’s no specific date for its release yet, but it will likely premiere during the first or second week of July.
While the two-season-long gap is quite a long wait, many fans are fine with the release schedule.
Given that TYBW has impressive animation, fans are willing to wait a bit longer if it means Part 2 will continue to have the same level of quality.
Bleach: TYBW’s second cour will begin airing in July 2023, and it will be streamed on Disney+ in select countries, including the US.
